Identity Design

It's so much more than a logo. Yes, your logo is important, and you're smart to want one. However, it's only part of a larger ecosystem of communication, that when implemented well, can help you win some hearts and minds. We all love a good story, and we know when one is told well. Great storytellers engage us with their language, their tone of voice, and their body language. Communicating well in digital spaces isn't much different. Words alone aren't enough to grasp and hold attention, and that's why we support them with elements like imagery, colour, and type.

Imagery

Logos, graphics, and photos should never be too literal. They're a metaphorical representation of your brand, designed to make people feel something very specific.

Colour & Type

Much like imagery, colour and type make us feel on an unconscious level. For Example:

Voice & Tone

Your voice and tone should reflect your brand and your audience. If you can, imagine if the President spoke with the poise and demeanour of a 5th grader... Terrifying.

Discover

Through series of short workshops, we'll learn everything we can about you and your operation, as well as your tastes and style. We'll use that as a foundation for building your identity.


Execute

We'll begin with a series of stylescapes, which will demonstrate how different options for logo, tone, type, and imagery would live in real life scenarios. Your final product will include a comprehensive style guide for your brand.


Iterate

Brands are fluid. They grow along side their community. As their needs change, so will the way you fulfill them, and that means you'll be able to test the effectiveness of the various elements of your brand, and shape them moving forward.
